Terms of Service

Welcome to Green Light Go Driving School ("GLG," "we," "us," or "our"). By enrolling in our programs, using our services, or accessing our website, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Descriptions

Green Light Go Driving School provides driver education services in Tacoma, Washington, including but not limited to:

• Basic Driver Education Bundle — 30 hours of in-person classroom instruction, 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training, 1 observation session, 1 knowledge exam, and 1 skills exam (vehicle provided).
• Private In-Car Lessons — One-on-one behind-the-wheel instruction available in 1-hour, 4-hour, and 6-hour packages.
• DOL Knowledge Exam — Washington State Department of Licensing knowledge test administered at our facility.
• DOL Skills Test — Washington State Department of Licensing driving skills test administered using a GLG-provided vehicle.
• Instructor Training — Professional training program for aspiring driving instructors.
• Owner Coaching — Consulting and coaching for individuals interested in starting a driving school business.

All programs are subject to availability and may be modified at our discretion. We reserve the right to update pricing, program content, and scheduling at any time.

2. Age Requirements

In accordance with Washington State law:

• Students must be at least 15 years old to begin classroom instruction.
• Students must be at least 15.5 years old to begin behind-the-wheel training.
• Students under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the enrollment agreement and provide written consent.
• Adult students (18+) may enroll independently with valid identification.

3. Enrollment & Payment Terms

• Payment is due at the time of enrollment unless a payment arrangement has been agreed upon in writing.
• We accept payments through Clover (credit/debit cards) and other approved methods.
• All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to applicable Washington State sales tax.
• The Basic Driver Education Bundle includes a $20 discount from the individual component pricing.
• Private lesson packages (4-hour, 6-hour) must be used within 6 months of purchase.

4. Scheduling & Cancellation Policies

Scheduling

• Classroom sessions are scheduled in advance and communicated at the time of enrollment.
• Behind-the-wheel lessons are scheduled individually based on instructor and student availability.
• DOL exams are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

• Students must provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a behind-the-wheel lesson or exam.
• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or no-shows, may result in forfeiture of that session with no refund.
• GLG reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to weather, vehicle maintenance, instructor availability, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, sessions will be rescheduled at no additional cost.

5. Refund Policy

• Full refund: If you cancel your enrollment before attending any classes or lessons, you are entitled to a full refund minus a $50 administrative fee.
• Partial refund: If you cancel after beginning a program, a prorated refund may be issued for unused services at GLG's discretion.
• No refund: Exam fees, completed lessons, and completed classroom hours are non-refundable.
• Refund requests must be submitted in writing to glgdrivingschool@gmail.com.
• Refunds will be processed within 10 business days of approval.

6. Student Responsibilities

By enrolling in GLG programs, students agree to:

• Arrive on time for all scheduled classes, lessons, and exams.
• Possess a valid Washington State instruction permit (or equivalent) before beginning behind-the-wheel training.
• Follow all instructions provided by GLG instructors during driving lessons.
• Refrain from being under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substances during any GLG session.
• Treat GLG staff, instructors, vehicles, and facilities with respect.
• Disclose any medical conditions that may affect the ability to safely operate a vehicle.
• Comply with all applicable Washington State traffic laws during instruction and testing.

7. Vehicle Use

• GLG provides vehicles for all behind-the-wheel lessons and skills tests at no additional charge (where included in the program).
• GLG vehicles are maintained, insured, and equipped with dual controls for safety.
• Students are not permitted to operate GLG vehicles outside of scheduled instructional sessions or exams.
• Students may be held financially responsible for damage to GLG vehicles caused by willful misconduct, recklessness, or operation under the influence of impairing substances.
• Standard wear and incidental contact during normal instruction are not the student's financial responsibility.

8. Liability Limitations

Green Light Go Driving School maintains appropriate insurance coverage for all instructional vehicles and operations. However:

• GLG is not responsible for any personal property lost, stolen, or damaged while on our premises or in our vehicles.
• GLG does not guarantee that any student will pass the knowledge exam or skills test. Test outcomes depend on individual student performance.
• GLG is not liable for any driving incidents, accidents, or violations that occur outside of scheduled GLG instructional sessions.
• To the maximum extent permitted by Washington State law, GLG's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the fees paid by the student for the specific service in question.

9. Washington State Compliance

Green Light Go Driving School is fully licensed and approved by the Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) to provide driver education and administer DOL exams. We operate in compliance with:

• Washington Administrative Code (WAC) Chapter 308-108 — Driver Training Schools
• Revised Code of Washington (RCW) Chapter 46.82 — Driver Training Schools
• All applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing driver education

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the GLG website, including text, images, logos, graphics, and course materials, is the property of Green Light Go Driving School and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any GLG content without prior written permission.

11. Modifications to Terms

GLG reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
